A Mirror’s Cold Kiss

You expose harsh lines—

Sleep still cradling

My bloodshot eyes.

The petals of the sun

Unfold the night sky—

Revealing the crows

That feast upon my eyes.

Winter crawls inside my bones,

And there I stand with

A full head of fallen snow.
