The Mirror’s Curse

By: Spencer DiSpartiImage

He sees the vacant mirror stare

Right through his corporeal shell.

A reflection of despair;

A slave to this immortal spell.

Peering into the looking glass,

He sees a soulless existence flash,

With cravings that shall never pass.

In vain he tries to sate his wounds

Before the birds can break the night,

Singing his eternal plight.
